Our focus is diversification. We believe your investments and investment portfolio should be allocated among various asset classes and distributed over different types of investments.
How your assets would be allocated will depend on many factors:
How old are you?
How long is your investment time horizon?
What kind of potential returns on your investments will be needed to achieve your goals?
Do you or will you have dependents?
What is your appetite for risk?
Do you need to derive income from your account(s) or would you like them to grow or both?
Will you need to take distributions from your account(s) in the next few years?
Do you have emergency reserves? If so how long would they last?
Your answers to these questions are key to profiling you and your needs. From there we can propose options and recommend strategies in pursuit of achieving your goals.
There is no guarantee that a diversified portfolio will enhance overall returns or outperform a non diversified portfolio. Diversification does not eliminate market risk. Asset allocation does not ensure a profit or protect against a loss.
Our philosophy is value investing. It has been said that it is what you pay for an asset rather than what you sell it for that will ultimately determine the gain or loss realized upon its sale. Though that is not always the case, strategic buying of any asset is the most important consideration. All investments considered for your portfolio are then screened for financial health, value, gain potential, and liquidity where pertinent.
Speculative investing for trading profits is accommodated for the aggressive investor but would only be pursued for nonessential assets.
Investing involves risk including loss of principal. No strategy assures success or guarantees against loss.
Our method is fee-based advisory accounts. The fee is determined by the size of your account(s) and decreases on a sliding scale as your account value increases and attains our breakpoints. Accounts over $1 Million pay a maximum 1% per year of account value assessed on a quarterly basis. This fee includes all financial and retirement planning.
